The health care organizations are continually battling with the conflicting priorities, the challenges are based on the focus of delivering high-quality patient care, and preventing the anticipated infections, maintaining hospital security, and ensuring the patient safety with the use of the limited resources that are stretched to cater for the diverse patients. The major challenges that will remain to be hindrance in the provision of the health care are the financial challenges and hospital productivity, the workforce shortages, and discontent, containing the vital core operating costs, development of the alternative revenue streams, patients’ satisfaction, patient safety, hospital security and regular standards as well as the energy mandates, (Walshe & Smith, 2011).Added to that are: poor accommodation of the patients satisfaction, inability to assimilate the increasingly the scientific and technological base, the slow integration and adoption of the information technology, failure to address growing consumerism among the patients, (Cohen, 2003).

The health care centers continue to seek the various approaches to rein their cost of the core operations, reduced utilization through the development of the standardization measures and the management of the care variations. However with the high performing organizations, the additional cost are obtained by taking system’s approach that is rigorous and transparent. The gap between the current cost, operational cost, and the high quality remains to be significant. The fundamental changing the health care delivery with the right providers, the right place and the right time is based on the building of the operation efficiency block that is concern with the optimization of the staffing and the managing the supply chain efficiently and the focus remains on the value and quality of the health care delivery, (Berg, 2001).

Moreover, the diseases creates a burden on the health care resources due to the high demand and the strain of the limited resources, therefore, the health care organizations will be oriented to provide the acute care and inadequate meeting of the needs of the patients’ needs, (Price, Koch & Bassett, 1998). It is worth noting that only a few clinical programs will complement the services needed by the group of patients with the chronic diseases such as diabetes, asthma, and other chronic conditions. The treatment of the chronic diseases requires continuous treatment and collaboration with other health care organizations and treatments strategy that integrates all the programs for the chronic diseases treatment.

Inability of integration and assimilation of the increasing complex science base and  slow adoption of information technology.

There has been growth and development of knowledge in the field of the clinical medical care, with this increase of the knowledge; it is associated with the increase in funding for biomedical research that results to the extraordinary advances in the clinical technology. Research and development in the medical industry have led to the exponential growth in the numbers of clinical trials that needs to be carried out. This is in contrary to the traditional view that assumed the health care professionals can diagnose and treat the disease, evaluate new test procedures and develop clinical practice and the guidelines,( Brandeau, Sainfort & Pierskalla, 2004). However, at the present and the future, the health professionals will have to carry out the extensive researches and keep the pace in the ever-expanding knowledge base on the effectiveness of the health care delivery. The clinicians must stay abreast of the advances in obtaining the active training and the experience with the new inventions and techniques developed in the field of the medical care, (Cohen, 2003). The information technology is concerned and will create the significant transformation in the healthcare systems and organizations. This will put the patients’ confidential consideration of the health care systems and improving efficiency. The potential contribution of the information will remain to be a challenge, decision making and the strategic approaches to the clinical operations.

Consumerism of the health care as observed by the increase in the access to the medical information on the Internet and the media, as a result, the majority of the patients wants to make their own decision about the diagnosis and treatment, the expectation of the patients remains that the clinical professionals will integrate the information acquired by them and consider their values. In conclusion, for the healthcare organizations to meet the operational obligation, they must dwell on the monitoring and the controlling facility systems. The intelligent control, managements and new developments, and the analytics improve infrastructure efficiency and provide room for maintenance of the scheduled to reduce the systems downtime. The health professionals should therefore work towards delivering the highest quality care based on the new knowledge and invention in the medical field to avoid the future challenges resulting f4om the trends in technological changes and increase the reputation of the clinical organizations, (Price, Koch & Bassett, 1998).
